The terms governing use of this website. The section that actually matters is the one about what the guidance here is and is not.
1. Agreement
These terms govern your use of texasroofingnow.com, operated by Texas Roofing Now. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not, please do not use the site.
2. What this site is
An informational website operated by an independent referral service covering DFW and North Dallas, Texas. It publishes general guidance for homeowners about roof inspections, storm damage and the Texas insurance claim process, and it provides a contact form for requesting an inspection. Texas Roofing Now does not carry out inspections or roofing work. Requests are routed to an independent licensed roofing contractor who does, and Texas Roofing Now may be compensated for referrals.
4. Accuracy, and the limits of it
We take accuracy seriously — every assertion about Texas law or claim procedure on this site is sourced to a primary source, and our editorial policy sets out the standard, the review cadence and the corrections process.
That said: laws change, insurers change their practices, cities change their permit requirements, and pages are reviewed on a schedule rather than continuously. Content is provided as it stands, without warranty that it is complete, current or applicable to your situation. Check the last-reviewed date on any page you are relying on, and verify anything consequential against the primary source we link to.
5. No professional relationship
Reading this site, or submitting the contact form, does not create a contractor relationship, and it certainly does not create an attorney-client or adjuster-client relationship. A contractual relationship with Texas Roofing Now exists only under a signed written agreement for specific work.
6. Using the contact form
By submitting the form you agree that:
- The information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
- You are the owner of the property, or are authorized by the owner to request an inspection of it.
- You will not use the form for spam, automated submissions, or any unlawful purpose.
- Submitting the form is a request for a referral. It does not create an obligation on us or on any contractor to provide any service, and we may decline any request — including where a property is outside the area our roofing partner covers.
What we do with what you send is set out in our privacy policy. In short: we email it to ourselves so we can reply, we pass it to the roofing partner so they can arrange the inspection, and we do not sell it or pass it to third-party lead buyers.
7. Inspections and estimates
A free inspection is exactly that: an inspection and a written report, with no charge and no obligation on you to purchase anything. It is carried out by the independent roofing contractor we refer you to, not by Texas Roofing Now. Our methodology page describes what it covers and, equally importantly, what it cannot tell you.
An estimate is an estimate, and it comes from the contractor rather than from this site. Roof decking condition in particular cannot be determined until the existing covering is removed, which is why estimates carry a decking allowance and why additional work may be identified during a tear-off. Any work carried out is governed by the signed written agreement between you and that contractor, not by this website and not by any agreement with Texas Roofing Now.
8. Intellectual property
The text, diagrams and design of this site belong to Texas Roofing Now, except where otherwise noted. Photographs are licensed stock imagery used illustratively — see our disclosure page, which explains that no image here depicts completed work presented as ours.
You are welcome to quote from this site with attribution and a link. You may not republish substantial portions of it as your own, and you may not use it to train a product that competes with it.
9. Third-party links
We link to external sources — principally the Texas Department of Insurance, the National Weather Service and city government pages — so you can verify what we have written. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content. Linking to them is not an endorsement of anything beyond the specific fact cited.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Texas law, Texas Roofing Now is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of this website or from reliance on information published here. This does not limit any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and it does not affect your rights under a signed agreement between you and the contractor who performs the work.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. When we do, the date at the top of this page changes. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
